My Tupperware career began at my garage sale in May of 2004! Connie D. was on her way to the dentist and just happened by a really fantastic garage sale sign! She wasn’t feeling well, but thought “anyone who can make a sign like that could sell Tupperware”. She was a great sport when I attempted to sell her some cheap disposable containers. Having stopped for intentional reasons, she insisted I give Tupperware a try!

What Connie didn’t know is that I had been approached by many direct sell businesses. They always explained to me that I would be great at owning my own business. But when it came down to the wire, they would tell me what I had to do to get started. To me, that was a contradiction in terms!

When I asked Connie, “What do I have to do?” She said the magic words. “Whatever you want!” I was a skeptic! I thought, “Okay, lady… I’ll see if you mean that”. I hosted my first activation event to activate my account (and earn tons of free Tupperware, of course)! Then I slowly started telling people, “I have a Tupperware catalog, if you want to see it.” Did they want to see it!? Most people went nuts! Exclaiming, “Oh, I haven’t seen Tupperware in XX years!”

The rest is history.

When Connie visited me that hot day in my garage, I had worked everyday since age 14 in a normal American job to keep my head above water. Life was beginning to look up– as I had been married for a couple of years… and I was a new mother of a 6 month old. I was blessed to have just become a stay-at-home-mom. Jim and I were discussing how long I could stay off work, for financial reasons. All I knew is that I did not want to work through my baby’s childhood, like my single-mother did.

Tupperware gave me the avenue to be the entrepreneur I had always dreamt of being. I own my own business. I have worked diligently and consistently and have achieved the title of Tupperware Director. With that, I hold high regard and responsibility TO YOU. I know that this business can change lives… because it has changed mine. And my payoff is not money. It is not the title that goes after my name. It is in watching and helping each of you greet YOUR dreams! Together we have a partnership. A Dream Greeting Partnership! Because, you see, the more selfless I am and the more I help you—the closer I get to greeting my dreams!

Who would have ever thought an Arkansas girl, who used to need shoes to run out to the bathroom, would one day
• Be able to stay home with my children
• Have my car payment paid
• Take a trip to Hawaii for Free
• Vacation when I want
• Take a day off when I feel like it
• And be presented with the keys and title to a brand new car—just for doing my job and caring about others in the process…
